Earlier this month we went to the Gourds and Ghouls Festival. The kids wore their costumes and we got a picture with a giant pumpkin. e is a pink poodle, j is Transformer Bumblebee, t is Buzz Lightyear, a is a butterfly. For the Trunk or Treat j was a "superman" (soccer star) and t was Transformer Bumblebee. We'll see what they choose for Beggar's Night. e wanted butterfly wings at the Trunk or Treat. We have a little pair of pink wings for dress up, so she may end up as a pink poodle-butterfly.
Last week my parents came to visit. We wanted to get a family photo earlier this summer, but it didn't happen. So Grandma and Grandpa help us take this picture in our backyard. It was a lot of work to get everyone happy and looking in the same direction, but I think we got a few good shots. You may see this picture again at Christmas. :)

Whoa! You're kids are getting BIG! I haven't seen Emma more than on the day she was born and at my wedding. Soon enough we'll be back in the Midwest and then we will have to see each other more often.
The costumes were super cute! Your family photo also looks really great too! Your not going to do a family picture with the new little girl?
Yeah, we will probably do another family photo with everyone. I guess you're right that will probably be the one we use for Christmas. But maybe not, we might just include a picture of her.
